What Global Warming?

Winter Weather

Lots of just plain crappy weather out west this weekend.  A million people were without power in California and Oregon, at the peak of it.  And, more is expected as another storm rolls in about mid-week.

The good news to some is that flood waters are receding (for now) in Nevada, but honestly, I have to look at some of the records being set in the cold department and wonder about this Global Warming stuff.  For example, over at Robert Felix’s site, www.iceagenow.com, we read headlines like an op-ed piece out of the Boston Globe: ” Br-r-r!  Where did global warming go?

Most of us who have an open mind toward the daily news are also wondering if global warming may have peaked - because it is obvious that the sun’s cyclical nature has something to do with warming.  And, speaking of which, did you catch all the record lows that have been set this year - and I mean 2008?

Not getting much play but incredibly important is the press release from the Space and Science Research Center that has this shocker:

“Today, the Space and Science Research Center, (SSRC) in Orlando, Florida announces that it has confirmed the recent web announcement of NASA solar physicists that there are substantial changes occurring in the sun’s surface. The SSRC has further researched these changes and has concluded they will bring about the next climate change to one of a long lasting cold era. ” (emphasis added- G)

Why aren’t we hearing about this?  because it’s not going to help the folks who are trying to set up a carbon credit trading scheme, among other things.  Selling Global warming is a profitable business to be in.  Just so long as not too many people read Felix’s book, or read the record books, or take was the SSRC says to heart.

Oh, and remember that drought in Australia?  Well, now they’ve got floods
