  1. In the first video John Harris uses the term “person” quite a bit. He also fails to mention facts that are pertinent to the subject he discusses. Allow me to give you some examples…

He states that a society is a number of “persons” united together by mutual consent to deliberate, determine and act jointly for some common purpose.

A “person” is an artificial entity. In order for any “society” to be created it must be created by “People” – not “persons.”

He goes on to explain Contracts as being an agreement between two or more “persons” that creates or modifies an existing relationship. There’s that word again: “persons”.

Finally, he describes “Constitution” as The fundamental rules, written or unwritten, that establishes the character of a government by defining the basic principles to which a “society” must conform.

This is only partly true. Note that establishing the character of the government has nothing to do with the principles to which a society must conform but that which the government must conform FIRST AND FOREMOST. The principles to which a “society” must conform to come after the extent of the powers of government are well defined.

In America the character and basic principles of government are well established. The chief role of government is to protect and defend the inherent rights of the People. The governments power is very limited and it is reduced to 3 major responsibilities. The first is mentioned. The second and third are to protect and defend the borders and regulate commerce.

It is very different today than what the founding fathers may have imagined it to be. So what happened?? What went wrong??

It is without a doubt that unscrupulous men were elected as “representatives” and in seeking their own personal gain have changed the direction, character and basic principles of the government. The People still retain the power to regain control over this runaway government.

Here are some suggestions for some of what needs to be changed:

Governments, local and federal should never be allowed to “incorporate.”
The People must be the watch dog over their government at all times.
Any “representative” that does not actually fulfill the wishes of his constituents should be subject to immediate recall and forced from office. The will of the People should prevail at all times.
Representatives should be limited in the amount of time spent outside of their districts and their districts should be their primary focus and concern.
The word “Person” should have no other meaning than “People”.
“Treason” against the people, the government and oath of office should be given great consideration and punishment for such given with haste.

I’m sure that many of my readers have their own suggestions. Some would like to see no government at all. Personally, I believe that men should have some sort of agreement that will allow them to live in harmony and that some form of government be established to work towards that end.

Remember that in America government is supposed to be a servant of the People.

Everything begins and ends with the will of the People.

It is time that the People came together to put their servant government back in its place as “servant”.
