A Contradiction of Facts and Policy??

On one hand we have the admission by the U.S. that Iran is NOT making nuclear weapons.

See it here:

On the other hand, we may have policy that, is no doubt, extreme meddling in the affairs of a Sovereign Nation.

See it here:

These destructive and violent actions would not occur with a Ron Paul Presidency.  This is only one of the reasons he has my support.

The main question to ask is:

Why does the U.S. believe it has the authority to tell other Sovereign Nations what they can and cannot do?

Ron Paul wouldn’t hesitate to tell you that the U.S. has no such authority and that meddling in the affairs of other nations will only result in greater problems in the future.

We all have a choice.  We can choose Peace and Freedom or War and Slavery.

  1. When a nation is screaming death to America and death to isreal in their streets for the world to hear then there is reason to begin to intervene in their affairs. They are a very violent nation that continues to threaten our country and our allies and is also threatening to block major oil passageways. May not need to go about this to the extreame butwe definitely need to be very cautious and show them that if they were to try anything then we would utterly destroy them. I will never vote for ron Paul because everything about him and his isolationist ideas just turns me off. Rick Santorum is the true conservative in the race. However the most likely winner will be Romney because pple veiw him as the most electable against Obama. IF Paul is the nominee I will vote for Obama.

    • The point is that they would not be screaming “death to America” if the U.S. government had not meddled in their internal affairs in the first place.
How many times does it need to be pointed out that the CIA and other agencies of the government did the studies that Ron Paul quoted when he said these people were angry with the U.S. because of what the U.S. was doing to them over there?

My friend, please do some more research. And you might want to start with a look at the foreign policy of George Washington. I’m betting that you wouldn’t have voted for him either. I’m not sure you will bother reading these articles as most people that disagree with Dr. Paul’s foreign policy do not really want to know the facts because they really don’t want to realize he’s right or that they are in error… but here are some links to get you started. Oh, and if you believe that the Constitution is an archaic document I’ve included an extra link to cover that as well.

I love George Washington. Except for his foreign policy.

    • It amazes me that there are still some of you that haven’t figured out the difference between “isolationism” and “non-interventionism”. The other candidates don’t even label RP as an “isolationist”. Wake up and smell the coffee dude!

You say that we need to “show” Iran that if they were to try anything then we would utterly destroy them. Don’t you think they realize that we have that capability?? Most of us are fairly certain that Iran knows we could drop a bunch of bombs on them.

Oh, just so you know, it would have to be a “nuclear war” because China won’t lend us the money for a conventional war with Iran. As a matter of fact, both China and Russia have warned the U.S. that they will not tolerate any aggression towards Iran. Do you understand that by voting for anyone but Ron Paul we will be in a war with Iran, China and Russia?? All the other candidates are practically screaming for war with Iran. Are you really that ready and willing to put your life and the life of your family and friends at risk?

Maybe you should consider the fact that Communist Russia didn’t fall because of any military battle. It fell because it’s economy collapsed. Now consider the fact that the U.S. will do the same IF it continues its warring ways. Why can’t America beat its so-called “enemies” economically?? Now that is a viable solution. And there is only ONE candidate that is willing to make the hard choices to get the economy back on track. Yep. Even his rivals in this primary will agree that he is one helluv an economist!!

You might want to do some real hard thinking and soul searching. You might want to check this post and realize how Foreign Policy actually works in the U.S.

    • Sorry Matt, you lose again. This little bit about who is more conservative:

“According to a study done back in 2004 though, Paul was the more conservative of the two by a fairly healthy margin.

A list put together at found that out of the 3,320 individuals (1 being the most liberal and 3,320 being the most conservative) who had served in the House or Senate from 1937 to 2002, Santorum ranked 2,674, while Paul ranked 3,320.

“Four or five times he voted to raise the national debt, so that tells you how conservative he is,” Paul said Saturday about Santorum. Based on the survey, Paul could question pretty much any politician’s conservative record against his own.”

So your pick, Santorum, is NOT the most conservative candidate in this primary. Ron Paul IS!!

Remember what I said about Conservatism being mostly a Libertarian political ideology? This is why Ron Paul is more conservative than any other candidate in this primary.

You can read the full article Here.

Your “objection” to voting for Ron Paul because of your concerns for “conservative” values has been answered and you no longer have this as a valid objection. The fact that Ron Paul garners more of the Independent and Democratic votes than does any of the other GOP candidates also excludes your objection that the GOP candidate must be able to beat Obama in the general election. Ron Paul seems to be the only candidate that can do that by bringing in votes from across the political spectrum… even taking votes away from Obama. There can be no objection regarding the economy. Even his rivals in this primary will agree to that.

So all you are left with is his “foreign policy”. AND THAT IS ANSWERED. The problem is that you are a fallible human and one of our biggest faults is that we hate to admit we are wrong. I’ve seen it before… people will go to their graves before they admit error. People can be so stubborn… can’t we?

It’s up to you, Matt. You can do the research and convince yourself that Ron Paul is right or stay in error and suffer the consequences of your actions based on that error. Your choice. Just as long as you remember that this election, this vote is about FREEDOM or NOT. A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Freedom. You can be sure that a vote for any other candidate will bring nothing short of disaster for this country.

  2. BTW, Rick Santorum speaks about Libertarianism as tho it is some sort of disease. He claims that he knows of no society in which Libertarianism has succeeded.

Well, he needs to brush up on his history because AMERICA is that society. Without the Libertarian Political Ideology there wouldn’t have been an American Revolution and America would not exist.

Rick Santorum also denies that YOU have a right to the pursuit of happiness and that you have a right to privacy. He claims that the Constitution guarantees you no such rights.

Now you can verify this by searching the YouTube videos of him. My question to you is: HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO THE GARBAGE COMING OUT OF HIS MOUTH?

Here’s another question for you: Do you even know what a conservative is? A true conservative is more of a LIBERTARIAN than he is anything else. Ask Ronald Reagan. He’s the one that said it.

I’ve got to say that I don’t think you understand what is really going on. The majority of the candidates want to go to war with Iran. A war that we cannot afford. That will burn out our economy. On the other hand, Ron Paul will only DEFEND the nation. There’s a difference here, A big difference. We can cut a hell of a lot of the military budget and not hurt ourselves in any way. We will still be spending more than any other nation on this planet for defense.

As for beating Obama: Romney hasn’t got a chance. He sounds just like Obama. There are only subtle differences. They will debate about HOW to get us involved in a war with Iran… not whether we should get into a war with Iran.
They will debate about HOW to ruin the Economy, not about how to save it.

Ron Paul is the only candidate that offers a true contrast to Obama. The differences between them are startling. Not only that: Ron Paul is the only candidate that gets the Independent and Democratic vote. RIGHT NOW he has Democrats voting for him and choosing him over Obama. No other GOP candidate has that or can do that.

It is not only my opinion, but also the opinion of some very esteemed political analysts, that you are simply wrong.

  3. You have also stated that Iran is a THREAT to us. PLEASE LOOK AT THIS MAP.

Do you see all those U.S. military bases all around Iran?

    Question: Who is threatening who?
